Hotel Europa is located in the heart of Southern Jutland, with only 20km to the Danish/German border.

The area around the hotel is rich with forests, suitable for a run or relaxing walks. Is it bowling, billiards, tennis, squash, swimming or general fitness you are up for, several opportunities are within a distance of 3km from the hotel.

The locals in Southern Jutland are very friendly. We keep our culture and traditions. Especially local town celebrations are important to us and guests are more than welcome.

The big event of the summer is tilting at the ring with about 500 horses, walking within a parade through the city together with all kinds of European orchestras. They all end up at the large fair ground, this is where they compete throughout the following days, between large and small, to become the king of the year in tilting rings.

The tilting of the ring celebration is at the first weekend of July and definitely worth a visit.

This week, guests from all over the north visits, and the opportunity to see the large travelling carnival or listen to concerts with local or national music artists is also a great experience.

We are also very proud of the old part of the city, which in known for its pretty houses, beautiful decorated doors and the lovely small cobblestone streets.

Furthermore is Denmarks longest and prettiest shopping pedestrian in Aabenraa, and nothing less than 100meters from the hotel.

The beach is newly renovated with proper swimming and bathing facilities, bridge and marina, about 1km from the hotel.

If you wish to spend a cozy day with the family, we recommend to visit the attraction park Universe or Jump A Lot, they are the main attraction parks of Southern Jutland.

In the area, we are very keen of the opportunities for golfing. The hotel cooperates with the area’s best golfing clubs: Sønderjyllands Golfklub and Aabenraa Golfklub. You are more than welcome to ask in the reception for further information.
